During the 1980's, 1990's and 2000's Carrerá Arquitectos designed all the theaters in the island for Wometco, United Artists and others. After becoming the exclusive architect for Wometco theaters the firm started remodeling Plaza las Américas, Señorial and Caguas theaters, until Wometco was purchased by the Reading Company. From 1995-2005, Carrerá Arquitectos worked as the exclusive architect for Reading, designing all Cine Vista theaters on the island, including the first stadium theaters in Puerto Rico. Over the past three decades the company has designed over 15 cinema projects throughout Puerto Rico.
